I will be in Firenze the last two weeks of March inand I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for nightlife that is more refined. I am not interested in hanging out with college kids and I am not interested with lounging about with retired folk. I would gladly welcome any suggestions for activities after 6pm in the Firenze, Chiani, or Assisi regions. Most Italians are just sitting down to dinner at 8 pm. Before dinner, they may go to a bar or cafe for an aperitivo; after dinner, they may go to a cafe or a gelateria for a gelato.
Florence has a huge population of American college kids, but their party-hearty haunts are easy to avoid. The Chianti towns and Assisi are small and don't cater at all to the college-kid crowd. Since restaurants close between lunch pm and Dinner starts at 7 pma big part of the evening is taken up with getting to a restaurant and eating.
So Strip club florence italy is covered. Us old folk after this head back to the apt and lay down and read because we are tired from walking around Florence all day. In fact the something I travel with often seems tired by then also. Maybe the something hangs out with this old dog because the old one pays for the trip; if so she is a great actor and will go far in life. The local 30s crowd tends to go out for cocktails - starting with aperitivo usually between 7pm-9pm, a drink will also buy you free range of the buffet offeredending with after dinner drinks too bars in Florence have to close by 2am by law.
They are actually open all day as lunch places too, but in the evening is when you'll see them really busy as the locals spill out onto the streets. This is where I'd start, if you're in the mood for something else then Lochness Lounge tucked into the corner of Via dei Benci next to Moyo is also a cool spot for late drinks things don't get started here until around 11pm. Just last week a Florentine friend exclaimed to me: "This place is international! At aperitivo time people spill out the doorway, or crowd the tables in the piazza while quaffing Alessandro's sublime "cocktail martini" or enjoying any wine from his well-culled and carefully chosen list.
The place dies down at dinner time, but things pick up again 'round or so. And the scene around Piazza Sant'Ambrogio ah - I Strip club florence italy this is mentioned above also is pretty good for adults. Dolce Vita is ok, I think it used to be better but it's recently been taken over by new management and lost a bit of it's charm.
Ditto Colle Bereto - after being shut down and the owners arrested for drugs and reopened by new management, I would not recommend this spot if it were the last bar in Florence. Sant'Ambrogio is the great very casual meeting spot in the summer time when you can sit out on the tables outside; in March you'll be restricted to the rather cold interior of the bar. I agree about avoiding the whole of via dei Benci except for Lochness which tends to attract a completely different type of people, older and more local rather than young foreign students.
If you're after something "more refined", then you should try Open Bar on via dei Benci which do creative cocktails and have an unbeatable view of the river and the ponte vecchio. The Fusion bar of the Hotel Gallery Art near ponte vecchio is also a lovely, refined place for a cocktail. I know the story there about the shut down, etc. Do you think the food is no good, or is it the management, etc. Just curious! InFlorence - ah, well, not sure where to start!
Maybe first i should explain that my husband has worked in practically every single bar in Florence over the years so Strip club florence italy know all the bars pretty much inside and out. He worked at colle bereto before the drug bust up happened too. And worked for the current owners of the place who are also the new owners of Dolce Vita. The thing I don't like about Colle Bereto is how ridiculously overpriced they are - 10 euro for a cocktail, even if you don't plan on eating their aperitivo. I really don't think bars should put their prices up just because they see someone else doing it, they have to offer something else to make it worth paying.
The service is bad, the people unfriendly, the music bad and too loud, the food is definitely not a good enough attraction to go after all that, and the cocktails so-so! There are other places that sell better cocktails with better music and better service at half the price, so I'd just rather go there! Not that I want this to start sounding like a rant!
